Durham Jets travel to Headingley (18:30 start) looking for their first win of this year’s NatWest T20 Blast.
A combination of a four-point deduction and five straight defeats has left Durham with a mountain to climb if they are to progress through the group stages.
In desperate need of a victory, Durham take on Yorkshire Vikings in a local-derby with their opponents top of the group after six matches.
Yorkshire are able to call on England all-rounder David Willey, who has already shown his capabilities in this year’s competition.
Willey smashed a career best 118 off just 55 balls as Yorkshire defeated Worcestershire in a thriller last Sunday, and has now racked up 278 runs in five matches.
With the likes of England internationals Adil Rashid and Tom Bresnan in their bowling attack, the Vikings will be confident of recording their fourth victory of the competition.
Durham will need to vastly improve on last night’s performance after being put to the sword by a confident Notts Outlaws team.
Samit Patel (3-26) and Luke Wood (2-15) helped to bowl Durham out for 123, before Notts eased to victory by nine wickets with four overs to spare.
Durham will look to draw inspiration from last year’s finals day where they defeated Yorkshire in the last four to book their place in the final, only to be beaten to the title by Northamptonshire Steelbacks.
